And You Thought T-Shirts were an important part of American history
Nine percent of Americans claim to have a 'favorite T-shirt ".
That, of course, no big deal … I have a favorite pair of socks, shoes, even salad fork.
But there's more to the eye shirt. There is significant history and economics.
The tshirt first promotion of a film was printed in 1939. That movie was "The Wizard of
Oza. Like the movie, the "T" did pretty well. We make our own version of a Wizard of Oz T-shirt, I guess a little different from the first image showing a drawing of the band walking down the yellow brick road and Toto are lifting a hind leg. The title says, a "how the yellow brick road got is name. "But I digress.
T-Shirts realize significant U.S. economy. Cotton is still a huge industry in this country, especially in the southern states. It takes six miles of thread to make a shirt. One hectare of cotton is sufficient to produce 1200 tees.
Ever wonder if the T-Shirt business viable? How about this for a statistic? Some two billion shirts are sold annually worldwide.
The Salvation Army has donated millions of annual T-shirt later auctioned by the pound to third world countries.
If one likes the history of T-shirt, the Smithsonian tee shows the oldest printed in the record which merely states, "Dew It With Dewey". Rocío what I wonder? Hmm.
In the game of 1950 "A Streetcar Named Desiree" Brando T-shirt and jeans fit the proper way to show their full physical.
However, the word T-shirt has not become an official word until the 1920s, when it is included in Webster's Dictionary.
In 1977 more than $ 8 million of Farrah Fawcett T-Shirts were sold when he appeared in Charlie's Angels.
And speaking of sexy Tees, ever wondered what led to the  "Wet T-shirt contest?  "It all started after the appearance of Jacqueline Bisset in the film" The Deep "which is swimming under water then surface with a white shirt and bikini topless.
The most popular designer t-shirts are now printed. However, the reproductions digital are increasingly popular and are merged into the fabric and, for me, has more than a penny "for a decal Ironing-in appearance, but by Of course it is a matter of taste. I decided to manufacture them, as different as it looks different.
Americans love our shirts. A survey conducted several years ago showed that over 62% of U.S. (all ages) owns at least 10 starts and 18-24 demographic group owned more 10 shirts and 19% owned by over 30 outlets. Therefore, it seems they are going through short-term fashion.
