Where should I focus my efforts?
I am due November 18 with my 3rd child. I feel like I should know this- but I don’t.. What season should I purchase maternity clothes for????? Should I focus on more fall- type clothes? Jeans and sweaters? Maybe a pair a capri pants? (i dont really wear shorts anyways in the summer- usually just skirts).. also I live in Michigan.. but its usually in the 90′s and humid in July and August and September starts to cool down- but then sometimes we even get snow on Halloween!
Also- anyone know of anywhere to get FASHIONABLE plus size maternity clothes? (besides Lane Bryant and Motherhood)????
Also- does anyone know of any websites that sell plus size shirts- that are the t-shirt style with cute sayings– like the ones they have at two peas in a pod or whatever the site is called?
p.s. and by plus size- i need a size 22/24 pants and i wear a size 26/28 top usually– so please dont think by plus size i mean that i need places that sell size a size XL
I live in the NE and was due in the fall as well. I bought mainly summer clothes (capris, tee shirts, etc.). Since you are on the cusp of two seasons, to save money, I would buy mainly late summer clothes, and maybe two pair of longer pants. You could also buy a nice big comfy regular wrap sweater or cardigan, and wear it over your summer items so you could get some more mileage out of them in the fall.
I really didn’t like maternity tops at all, so towards the end I bought some regular tops in a larger size. Just look for ones with more of an empire waist and that stretch, and are a little bit on the longer side. That way you can still wear them for awhile postpartum.
